Sudhir Kar (28) was detained in Moulvibazar for raping a youngster (7) on the guise of feeding her chocolate.

According to a press release issued on Monday (October 8) afternoon, the accused Sudhir Kar was detained by local people from Moulvi Tea Garden area of Sadar upazila on Monday (October 7) night. He was later handed over to police.

The arrested person has been identified as Sudhir Kar, son of Arun Kar of Maulvi Tea Estate.

Moulvibazar Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Gazi Mahbubur Rahman said a case was filed with the police station and the accused was handed over to the court this morning.
According to the authorities, on Monday evening, while the youngster (7) was going home alone, the accused Sudhir Kar of the neighboring house drove the victim to an empty residence. He violently raped the victim by presenting her phone and tempting her with chocolate. Later, villagers apprehended the offenders and alerted police.

According to Officer-in-Charge Gazi Mahbubur Rahman of Moulvibazar Sadar police station, a complaint has been filed and the accused was handed over to the court this morning.
