Tragic road accident, Shakib did not return to United States

Shakib (18) did not return to New Jersey. Shakib Ahmed Chowdhury, an expatriate of the United States, was supposed to return with his mother on the 15th of this month. Before that, he died in a tragic road accident.

Shakib was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in the New Bridge area of Moulvibazar Sadar upazila on Wednesday night. The driver and two other passengers were seriously injured. The deceased is Mofazzel Hossain, son of Abdul Jabbar of the village. He is the youngest of 2 brothers and 1 sister.

The relatives and locals of the deceased said that Shakib came to the country from the United States with his mother a few days ago after about 5 years. His elder brother and sister lived in the country. Shakib studied writing in the United States and had a good job. On Wednesday night, he was returning home on a motorcycle with 1 rider from his grandfather’s house in Naluri. He died on the spot after a head-on collision with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction in the middle of Kamalpur New Bridge. The news of Shakib’s death has sent shockwaves among his family, friends and fans.

He was laid to rest at his family graveyard after the funeral prayers on Thursday, November 14.
