There is no holiday on August 15

August 15 is the National Day of Mourning. This is how the people of Bangladesh have celebrated the day for the past fifteen years.

Today is a public holiday. However, the interim government has taken a new decision. The general holiday of August 15 is being cancelled on the occasion of the National Day of Mourning.

This information is known from the sources of the Ministry of Public Administration.The concerned officials of the Ministry of Public Administration said that they have prepared a notification of the cancellation of the general holiday of August 15. The notification may be issued on Tuesday (August 13) itself if the instructions of the higher officials are received. If notification is not issued for any reason, then it will be tomorrow.

Before this, the chief advisor of the interim government. In a meeting with Muhammad Yunus, various political parties, including the BNP, suggested cancelling the national day of mourning and public holidays on August 15.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Interim Government Home Affairs Advisor Brigadier General (retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain said that this afternoon we will discuss the August 15 holiday. The matter will be decided there.

He also said that on August 15, a large number of police will be deployed in the field. Monitoring will be done so that no one can make any kind of mess. We will take all necessary security measures. The police will be there, and BGB RAB will be there. Maybe there will be an army.
