A peace rally and distribution of sweets was held for the students and teachers of Munsibazar Union of Rajnagar Upazila involved in the anti-discrimination student movement.
On Saturday (August 10) at 11 am a rally was held in front of Khalagaon Karimpur High School and 1 minute silence was observed in memory of the martyrs.
Later, teacher Anjan Paul, students of Shahjalal Science and Technology University Jashim Ahmed, Mahbub Ahmed, student Fazle Rabbi Khan, coordinator of Moulvibazar Anti Discrimination Student Movement Abdul Kadir, madrasa representative Syed Jabed Ali, Patuakhali Government Medical College student Al Montakim Talukdar (Marjan), teacher Seju Ahmed, student and journalist Kamran Ahmed spoke at the peace rally directed by Santush Sutradhar.
The closing speech was given by the Chief Coordinator Mohammad Nahid Hasan.
At the end of the assembly, sweets were distributed among the students and the general public.
Speakers in the rally said, we will work unitedly to build an ideal Munsibazar. We have already taken some steps. We will discuss them with the union chairman and merchant association to seek their cooperation
From tomorrow, road cleaning work, traffic control and distribution of leaflets, medicine services, dustbins, drainage systems, etc. will be completed in stages to increase public awareness.
