On receiving the news, a team of the army went there and surrounded the area including the entrance of the resort. Later, police and army personnel searched the hotel. But Shamim Osman was not found there. But if the students were not satisfied with this, the attack was carried out under the leadership of the mayor. Some students were injured.
Students said that Shamim Osman has a good relationship with the mayor. He wants to keep her safe. Moreover, Mayor Madhu is close to former Agriculture Minister Abdush Shaheed. He attacked us to keep Awami League leaders safe.
Student Mahalam said, we have true news that Shamim Osman is hiding here. But the mayor stood up to defend him. Attack to scare people away. Under his leadership, BCL workers attacked with weapons.
Binay Bhushan Roy, Officer-in-Charge of Srimangal Police Station said, "We police and army went to Grand Sultan Resort and searched. The rumor about Shamim Osman being here is a complete rumour. Some people gathered around the Grand Sultan. We removed them. Normal situation prevails now.

Arman Khan, manager of Grand Sultan T Resort, said that Shamim Osman's stay is a rumour. Their resort is a five-star resort owned by a non-political person. With the reputation, the image of Bangladesh and the tourism sector has been transformed into an international standard.
