BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi returned home after being under treatment in the hospital for almost two months due to coronavirus. He was discharged from a private hospital in the capital on Sunday (May 9) afternoon.

BNP health affairs secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam said that even if he is discharged from the hospital as he is not fully recovered, he will have to follow the instructions of the doctors. On the advice of the doctors, he will have to stay under close observation for another one-two months.

He also said that even if he does not need extra oxygen at present, he should keep an oxygen system at home all the time, so that support can be given immediately if there is a slight breathing problem. He will need more time to fully recover.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was infected with Corona on March 16. On March 17, he was admitted to a private hospital in the capital for advanced treatment. On April 1, Rizvi’s condition deteriorated and he was shifted to the ICU. A few days later he was transferred to the cabin.

Rizvi was initially criticized in various quarters of the party for participating in various party functions of BNP with symptoms of coronavirus.
