On Saturday (September 21), the quarterly meeting of Citizen Platform was held in Moulvibazar district under the project “Aastha” organized by the Non-Governmental Development Organization Transformation at the Girl Guide Association Auditorium.
The meeting was presided over by Nazrul Islam, convener of Moulvibazar District Citizen Platform and journalist.
Madhuri Majumder, Member Secretary of Citizen Platform moderated the meeting. Prominent literary and social worker Ahmed Siraj, prominent cultural personality Ed. Mogbul Hossain, Staff Reporter Daily Prothom Alo Akmal Hossain Nipu, Senior Station Manager Radio Pallikanth Mehedi Hasan,Scholar Riazul, Lecturer As Abdullah, Ehsana Chowdhury, Munna Dev Roy and Aparajita Roy etc.
Hasan Tarek, Cluster Coordinator of Convergence Trust Project gave a welcome speech at the meeting. District Coordinator Md. Shihabul Islam Khan and Field Officer Shipan Dev provided overall support.In the meeting, a decision was taken to hold seminars, dialogues and courtyard meetings with religious and tribal leaders to build a non-communal and peaceful Bangladesh.
