NGO organisation ASA has taken food assistance, cash assistance, and rehabilitation activities of 59.8 million rupees from its own funds for the flood-affected people.

Additional District Commissioner (General) Md. Abdus Salam Chowdhury received the food aid on behalf of the district administrator on Wednesday (August 28) afternoon.

Assistant Commissioner Executive Magistrate Md. Sohag Milu, Additional Divisional Manager, Amirul Islam, District Manager were present. Md Abdul Ahad, Regional Manager Md Akshir Mia, District Auditor
Md. Shafiqul Islam, Senior Manager Md. Abdul Haque, and others.

At this time, Additional Divisional Manager Md. Amirul Islam said Moulvibazar Asha is always there to serve people in any disaster.

Among the flood victims of different upazilas of the district, 1,150 food packs include rice (5 kg), oil (1 litre), dal (1 kg), chira (1 kg), sugar (500 grammes), salt (1 kg), saline (5 kg), and ter (2 litres).
