Najmun Nahar made a record of traveling to 159 countries

Najmun Nahar has set a record of traveling to 159 countries by being the first Bangladeshi to travel to the West African island country of Cape Verde with the flag of Bangladesh. On world Travel, Bangladesh’s flag bearer Najmun Nahar is making history by setting a rare example in the world.

 

On December 17, 2022, Najmun set foot on the soil of the remote Sol Island in Cape Verde in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, holding a red and green flag. Meanwhile, she visited five isolated islands of the country one by one. Sol, Boa Vista, Sao Nicolau, Sonto Anto and Fogo Islands. On December 18, a report appeared on TSM TV in Cape Verde about Najmun Nahar. She then visited two local schools on the island of Sol. There she encouraged children with the message of world peace and environmental awareness. The people of Cape Verde hailed this journey of her world tour through millions of lonely miles of forests, mountains, oceans, deserts. She then hoisted the red-green flag of Bangladesh by visiting several places of interest including Santa Maria, Kite Beach, Salt Mine, Asparagus and Palmyra City, Lion Mountain, Sark Beach, Cape Verde’s Sol Island.

 

On October 6, 2021, Najmun Nahar created an unforgettable milestone in world travel as the first Muslim woman in the world to fly the flag of Bangladesh by traveling to the African countries of Sao Tome and Principe. At the beginning of 2022, she traveled to Africa, Europe and Central Asian countries San Marino, Mauritius, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Then, she traveled to war-torn Palestine, Israel, Gibraltar and Cape Verde from October to December.

 

Wherever she went, along with the flag of Bangladesh, she held high the message of world peace – ‘No War, Only Peace’. Najmun Nahar visited local communities and educational institutions in different countries of the world during her travels. There she encouraged women, children and youth in world peace and environmental awareness. Her world tour was not so easy.

 

She had to work hard to travel the world. Najmun has traveled by road alone to most of the countries in East Africa, West Africa, South America, Europe, Central America and Asia. In the long journey of 22 years, Najmun has crossed many difficult and impassable paths. Faced death many times with very difficult situations. However, her march did not stop. She fought with death and carried the flag of Bangladesh as she travelled the world. She has made the headlines of the media of different countries of the world with the flag of Bangladesh. Ministers, heads of state, famous people of different countries of the world have welcomed her . She has won more than 50 awards at home and abroad, including the Peace Torch Bearer Award.

 

Najmun Nahar graduated from Lund University in Sweden. She was born in Lakshmipur Sadar, Bangladesh. Najmun Nahar’s goal is to travel to every country in the world with the flag of Bangladesh.
