The challenge of turning the unemployed youth into skilled human resources is the new Bangladesh. The interim government has started working in that light. But the Moulvibazar Technical Training Center is riddled with corruption. Especially the trainers have turned this center into an arena of corruption. The grand festival of corruption is going on. A strong syndicate of trainers and employees has been formed. The search revealed such a picture.

Investigation revealed embezzlement of trainees allowance, driving with auto mechanics students in the name of passing BRTA exam, extortion of drug test serial, itest and medical certificate, sale of certificate of remittance fighters, living in government housing without paying rent, embezzlement of raw materials of ASSET project. , selling car oil, using trainees’ cars for personal work and not attending classes on time are also alleged against the concerned.

Many of these institutions have already become owners of cars and houses due to corruption. Have a large bank balance. They have become heroes from zero.

In the meantime, the instructors of the course, Mohammad Abu Yusuf Imon, Mazharul Islam and other authorities, have been stealing money from the unemployed trainees through corruption and irregularities in the Driving with Automechanics course for a long time. There are also allegations of extorting money from trainees on various pretexts and forging signatures with fake doctor’s seals and fake BMDC numbers.

It is known that 320 unemployed youths are trained in four groups every three months. The trainees complained that the driving with automechanics course provided nominal training. They are deprived of real training due to evasion and irregularities of course instructors. The great initiative of the government is being disrupted.

‘Medical Certificate for Driving Licence’ Form-II of the trainees of Driving with Automechanics Course has a seal in the name and identity of ‘Dr Chandra Shekhar Kar, Medical Officer’. Below that is handwritten registration No. A-75234 and a signature above the seal. No existence of this registration number and doctor was found after searching in Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. Besides, the authorities admitted that the doctor was fake and his seal was forged.

While talking to the reporter, Taufiqul Islam, a trainee of Driving with Automechanics course, said that although the government fee of only 60 rupees was supposed to be given for driving training, instead of 60 rupees, 100 rupees was taken in the admission slip. 800 taka is taken for learner fee. But after paying the learner fee, we received a text message of 5,25 rupees on our mobile phone. Besides, from BRTA office, serial advance of dope test and i-test from 200 to 400 taka. The eye test is made by the instructor himself without doing the eye test at the eye hospital. Forced to buy a spiral binding book for Rs 2000 because of classes and exams. Naeem Mia, Anwar Hossain, Habibur Rahman Billal, Juned Mia, Anik Vardhan, Chayan Ravi Das, Abdul Wajud Fahad and some other trainees who did not wish to be named. Abdus Samad, a trainee of the ongoing 12th batch, said that 2,500 taka was taken from our previous batch of trainees to the BRTA office. Even after we got admission we were asked to pay bribe money on a gesture. But after the fall of the government on August 5, no more was said.

Course instructor Mohammad Abu Yusuf Imon said, “For the convenience of the trainees, I am issuing the medical certificate from the computer shop by signing it with a doctor’s fake seal after taking Tk 200 from them. Moulvibazar BRTA has to pay Tk 2,500 per student to pass the driving test.

According to a responsible source, three-day training is mandatory for those going abroad with a government fee of Tk 200, but in many cases, they are being sent abroad without participating in the training. In this case, the certificate is being sold in exchange of money after showing attendance at the training center. The principals of this syndicate are Zahidul Islam, Al Amin, Shoaib and Hannan. The syndicate itself provides biometric attendance to foreign travelers. So that the locals do not understand, most of the time the syndicate sells Sanad to foreigners from districts other than Moulvibazar for 3-4 thousand taka. On August 13, the certificate of Abdul Jalil, a migrant from Baralekha Upazila, issued by the Moulvibazar Technical Training Center came to the hands of the reporter. It is known that Abdul Jalil bought the certificate for 3 thousand taka without training. The expatriate’s passport was mistakenly replaced with Saudi Arabia’s country name Qatar and Abdul Jalil’s photo was replaced with another person’s photo. Later the person took another certificate from Fenchuganj TTC. Certificates of two UK-bound expatriates issued in November 2023 came to the hands of the reporter. They also bought the certificate without training.
