Bi-annual elections of Moulvibazar Press Club have been completed. Sarwar Ahmad was elected as President and Nurul Islam Sheful as General Secretary. The election was held at the press club office on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday (October 06) the list of selected candidates was officially released.

Others in the committee are Mousuf A Choudhury (Editor, Country Party), Sh E Sarkar Jablu (Newspaper) as Vice President, Hussain Ahmed as Joint Secretary (Jugantar/Sylheter Dak), Syed Boytul Ali (Bangladesh Pratidin), Mamunur Rashid Mohsin as Treasurer (Editor, Mukta Katha), Office Secretary Abul Haider Md Tariq (Channel S/Daily Dhaka Pratidin), Publicity and Publication Tuhin Jubayer (Independent TV) and Sports and Cultural Editor Omer Faruk Naim (Kalbela) were elected.

Besides, Shah Olidur Rahman (Somoy TV), Jasim Uddin (Editor Manubarta), Abdul Aziz (Naydiganta), Mintu Deshwara (Daily Star) and Ashraf Ali (Dainik Sylhet Mirror) were elected as effective members.
