Under the slogan “Come, friends, let us stand by the cold-stricken,” the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Moulvibazar Municipality’s Ward No. 6 organized a winter clothing distribution program for the underprivileged.

On Wednesday January at 3 PM, winter clothing was distributed as gifts in Baraikona, Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila.

The event was presided over by Prafulla Chandra, with Moulvibazar Municipal Jamaat Secretary Morshed Ahmed Chowdhury as the chief guest. Special guests included Ward No. 6 Jamaat President Abdul Kadir Ratan, Vice President Abdul Matin, Mostafapur Union President Moazzem Hossain Jewel, Assistant Secretary of Ward No. 6 Shihab Uddin, Organizational Secretary Tarek Ahmed, Abdul Malik Murad, and others.

Abdul Kadir Ratan expressed his gratitude and said, “We sincerely thank and appreciate all of you for coming here. Our heartfelt intention was to deliver these winter clothes directly to your homes. You may know that this is the third phase of our initiative. After distributing in Purbo Barohat, Paschim Barohat, and Kusumbagh areas, we are here today in Baraikona to hand over these items within our capacity.”

He added, “Since its inception, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has always worked for the greater national interest, addressing the needs of people irrespective of political affiliation, religion, or ethnicity. Insha’Allah, if you give us the opportunity and consider us necessary, you will find us ready to assist in any way possible.”
