In July-August 2004, the student uprising, wounded, martyrs were commemorated and financial donation checks were distributed.
Deputy Commissioner Md Israel Hossain addressed the commemoration meeting organized by Moulvibazar district administration on Tuesday 26th November at the district art academy auditorium as the chief guest.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Abdus Salam Chowdhury spoke as special guest, Superintendent of Police M, K, H, Jahangir Hossain.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, chairperson’s adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo, BNP joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, organising secretary Abdus Salam Azad and ex-Dhaka City unit BNP members secretary Abdus Salam were, among others, present at the meeting.
Later, the guests distributed cheques of Tk 3 lakh 95 thousand as financial assistance to 15 students in the first phase among the injured in July-August.
