Jamaat held discussions with Hindu leaders in Rajnagar

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rajnagar upazila branch held a meeting with Hindu leaders to protect communal harmony in Rajnagar upazila of Moulvibazar.
On Monday (August 12) afternoon, the leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Rajnagar Upazila, organised an exchange meeting to strengthen the harmony and cordial relations along with the protection of traditional religious places of worship and property of Rajnagar Upazila.
In Rajnagar Sarbjanin Durga Mandir, the chief guest in this exchange meeting with the leaders of Pooja Udjab Parishad and Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad in various unions of the upazila was Shura member of the Central Majlish, Abdul Mannan.General Secretary of Rajnagar Puja Celebration Parishad Shripad Vaidyar spoke at the exchange meeting, along with Upazila Jamaat Ameer Abur Rayan Shaheen, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Michbahul Hasan, Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad President Kabi Asit Deb, Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad General Secretary Biswajit Deb, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Shura member Jahangir Ahmad, Sadar Union Ameer Delwar Hossain Bablu, Rajnagar Sadar UP Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikya Parishad President Jayant Kumar Deb, Mansurnagar UP President Sanjit Kumar Dev, Panchgaon UP Puja Udjab Parishad General Secretary Sumant Dash, Rajnagar Sadar UP General Secretary Paritosh Dev, and others.
While highlighting the past tradition of Hindu-Muslim harmony, Jamaat leaders said, “We are people of the same country.” This country belongs to all of us. There should be no word minority here. You are our brothers. Jamaat-e-Islami does not believe in attacking places of worship of other religions and creating chaos. So Jamaat is always ready to support you. They requested to inform the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami if any donations or threats are given secretly or openly to any orthodox religious person. Whatever party the miscreant belongs to must first be resisted with courage. The Jamaat leaders assured them that Jamaat leaders will also cooperate in this matter if necessary.
