In Moulvibazar’s Kamalganj upazila, a Hindu youth, Prasanna Das, 22, was arrested for vandalising an statue.

He was detained from the central Durgabari Puja Mandap in Kamalganj town around 11: 30am on Sunday (October 13).

At the funeral, when Prasanna Das, a young man of Hindu faith, entered the mandap with stones to break the statue, the Ansar members on duty detained him and handed him over to Kamalganj police station.

Ansar VDP Deputy Director Farid Uddin confirmed this.
