In a special operation of Moulvibazar District Intelligence Branch (DB), 03 drug dealers named Balram Rabidas (24), Al Fiqah (42) and Tapas Taili (19) were arrested along with 5 kg of ganja.

They were arrested from Habiganj Road area of ​​Srimangal Upazila on Sunday (September 22) night.

Based on secret information, a team of DB Police led by SI Mahmudur Rahman conducted an operation in front of Kunde Ghar Cafe and Restaurant in Surma Valley area of ​​Habiganj Road in Srimangal city at 08:30 on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, 5 kg of ganja wrapped in polythene was seized from the custody of the arrested persons at the spot. Besides this, an unregistered CNG autorickshaw used for drug smuggling was also seized.

District Intelligence Branch Officer-in-Charge Md. Ashraful Islam said, “The three arrested are residents of Chunarughat police station area of ​​Habiganj district. They were collecting drugs from the Indian border area of ​​Chunarughat and selling them in different areas of Moulvibazar district including Srimangal.A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been registered at the Srimangal police station against the persons arrested in the incident.
