Iran is eager to deepen its bilateral ties with Bangladesh in a number of areas, such as energy, trade and commerce, culture, health, and education.

During a courtesy visit on Sunday, Mansour Chavushi, the Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh, expressed this desire to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in his Tejgaon, Dhaka, office.

Both sides discussed areas of shared interest during their conversation, and the Iranian envoy stated that Iran supports and cooperates with Bangladesh’s interim government.

He emphasized the desire to advance bilateral engagements, particularly in economic areas.

Chief Adviser Prof Yunus welcomed the Iranian gestures and expressed gratitude for Iran’s support regarding the Rohingya crisis in global forums.
