In Hilalpur area of ​​Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila, a conflict broke out when the arbitration meeting was held due to the previous dispute between the two parties. One person named Parvez was killed and 4 people were seriously injured.

The incident took place on Thursday (September 26) around 4:00 p.m. in Tara Mia’s house in suburban Hilalpur area when Samad Mia and his associates of the same area held an arbitration meeting with Chaeed Ullah’s son Parvez Ahmad regarding the second marriage of a woman.

According to police and local sources, while the arbitration meeting was going on, Sufian Miah, Azad Miah, Ripon Miah, Shipon Miah, who were coming from the east with native weapons, attacked and injured him bloody.

Parvez Ahmad, his elder brother Pir Azad, mother Katai Bibi and nephew Asad Mia were seriously injured.

The injured were taken to 250-bed Sadar General Hospital in Moulvibazar.He was rushed to Osmani Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Moulvibazar Sadar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Ajmal Hossain said that after receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot and arrested Azad Mia, the cousin involved in the attack, along with domestic weapons.
