‘Durga Puja’ celebrated in Barcelona

Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Hinduism, is celebrated in Barcelona, ​​Spain by Puja de Fiesta.

 

The festival is held in a festive atmosphere with the participation of traditional religious people living in Barcelona in a temporary worship hall in a local hall room in Barcelona.

 

This year the festival committee is worshiping the goddess according to the calendar dates.  The festival which started from October 1 will end today on October 4.

 

The worship of Goddess Durga is going through various rituals.  The entire mandap is decorated with bright and delicate touches.

 

Many orthodox devotees come from outside the city of Barcelona to pay their respects to the goddess.  Children and teenagers are enjoying dancing to the rhythm of music and dance.

 

Leaders of Puja de Fiesta were present at the Durga Puja including Subrata Pal, Shankar Debnath, Uttam Kumar, Ashutosh Dey, Suman Saha, Partha Dev, Kanchan, Jaydeep Roy, Palash Roy, and many others.

 

Jaideep Roy, a member of Puja de Fiesta and a local businessman, said, ”The Puja celebration abroad was completely different. Despite Missing mother, soel and friends, we have to smile happily.  It has now become a habit to pray alone and seek the welfare of all. However, it’s nice to see that our new generation is getting to know the culture even if it’s on a small scale.”

 

Honorary Consul of Bangladesh in Barcelona, ​​Ramon Pedro Barnaus, local community leaders and other leaders were present to enjoy the Durga Puja.

 

The organizers said that on this auspicious day of joy, peace would prevail in the country and the world with the blessings of the mother, they hoped that the coming days would become more beautiful, all sins and corruptions would be removed and peace would return among people.
