Distribution of clean water and dry food from Moulvibazar’s District Jamaat

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central working council member and Amir of Sylhet Md. Fakhrul Islam is inspecting the condition of people affected by the severe flood in Moulvibazar and distributing relief.

He gave courage today (August 22) by visiting the dangerous dam at M Saifur Rahman Road, the heart of the district and exchanging views with businessmen and sought the help of Almighty God.

In the afternoon, the Ameer of the metropolis visited Kadamhata Bazar of Mansoor Nagar Union, which was heavily affected by the collapse of the Manu River in Rajnagar Upazila, and distributed dry food and clean water among 220 flood-affected people at the weapons center at Kadamhata High School and Kadamhata Government Primary School.

District Amir Md. Shahed Ali, District Secretary Md. Yamir Ali, District Assistant Secretary Md. Ala Uddin Shah, District Working Council Member Syed Tarkul Hamid, Moulvibazar Municipal Amir Hafez Tajul Islam, Sadar Upazila Amir Md. Fakhrul Islam were also present in the district town and Rajnagar Upazila. Sramik Kalyan Federation District Vice President Maulana Ahmed Farooq, Municipal Secretary Anwar Hossain Chowdhury Morshed, Sadar Upazila Secretary Dewan Ashiq Al Rashid Chowdhury,Secretary of Paschim Bazaar Traders Association Syed Mohiuddin Ahmad Chowdhury Shaheen, Rajnagar Upazila Working Council Member Sheikh Md Shahabuddin, Delwar Hossain Bablu, Mansur Nagar Union President Md Saiful Islam etc.

It is to be noted that Ekamodhu, Bhangarhat and Hanskhala of Tengra Union of Rajnagar Upazila, Premnagar of Kamarchak Union, Kadamhata area of ​​Mansurnagar Union and Upazila Sadar Komar were inundated due to the breach of Monundi in the district. Apart from this, the people of large areas suffered due to the breach of Dhalai river dam in Makabile of Islampur Union of Kamalganj Upazila and Ghoramara of Adampur Union.

The people of large areas including Tilagao, Branmonbazar Rautgao, Kadipur are at risk of waterlogging in three places of Jalalpur, Mierpara and Hajipur of Tillagao Union of Kulaura Upazila.
