Discussion and doa mahfil in memory martyrs killed anti-discrimination movement at Moulvibazar Press Club

The 36th of July is our inspiration. The movement of the students and the people is a beacon not only in Bangladesh but also in the world. This revolution is not limited to a map. This movement, this success is being appreciated all over the world. This movement will provide inspiration to deal with the autocratic governments in the country for ages. The speakers urged the patriotic people to stay awake to maintain the success of this movement and to protect the second independence of the country and to prevent all the evils of the tyrannical government.
The speakers made the above remarks at a discussion and doa mahfil in memory of the martyrs, the proud children of Bengali mothers, who were massacred by the autocratic government during the anti-discrimination student movement in the country’s 2nd War of Independence, organized by the press club at the conference hall of Moulvibazar Press Club at 2: 30pm on Saturday, October 5.

Under the chairmanship of press club convener Baksi Iqbal Ahmed and member secretary Sheikh Sirajul Islam Siraj and member Mu. Former President of Press Club and Moulvibazar District President of Citizens for Good Governance (Sujan) Dr. Chadiq Ahmad spoke in the joint program of Imad Ud Din,BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, chairperson’s adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo, BNP joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, organising secretary Abdus Salam Azad and ex-Dhaka City unit BNP members secretary Abdus Salam were, among others, present at the meeting.Among others, Awami League Joint Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Organising Secretary Enamul Haque Shamim, local lawmaker Asheel Ullah Rafiq, district Awami League President Sirajul Mustafa, Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner Md Ali Hossain, and Cox’s Bazar Superintendent of Police Iqbal Hossain were present on the occasion.

At the beginning of the program, journalist Moktadir Hossain recited from the Holy Quran and journalist Ali Hossain Rajan performed Jagrani Islami Sangeet.
At the beginning of the program, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of all the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement.
The function was addressed, among others, by AL Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Organizing Secretaries Ahmad Hossain and Misbah Uddin Siraj and former Sylhet City Mayor Badar Uddin Ahmad Kamran with Moulvibazar district AL President Principal Md Abdus Shahid, MP, in the chair.
During the discussion meeting, the student masses across Moulvibazar district were asked to identify the injured with medical assistance and withdraw false cases. Besides, they urged the patriotic people to arrest the accused in the cases filed on behalf of the injured and killed students and to stop the conspiracies of the fake government collaborators within the country, including the neighboring country.
