30 to 35 District Administrators (DCs) are being withdrawn this week. Especially in those districts where the DCs have played a controversial role in the anti-discrimination mass movement of students, they will be withdrawn first.

However, the Discrimination Victims of Employees Unity Forum demands that all the officers involved in the national elections including Divisional Commissioners, District DCs, Superintendents of Police (SPs) of all departments should be withdrawn. ABM Abdus Sattar, convener of the forum, said in an exchange meeting at the Officers’ Club on Saturday that the incumbent field administration officials should be withdrawn immediately to prolong Hasina’s power.

They have lost all qualifications to hold office. When the Discriminated Employees Forum announced a sit-in program at the Secretariat from Sunday, the program was suspended in view of the government’s assurance that their demands would be implemented within 72 hours.

According to the relevant sources of the Ministry of Public Administration, many of the officers of the 24th batch of administration cadre working as DCs have a tenure of 3 years. A discussion of their early withdrawal had been going on since before the movement. As a result of the agitation, the decision to withdraw DCs has now changed. Those who have played a controversial role in the past movement will be withdrawn earlier.

In particular, the DCs of 35 districts including Dhaka, Chittagong, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Khulna, Sylhet, Narsingdi and Barisal are being withdrawn within this week. Later DCOs of other districts will be withdrawn.

Zakir Hossain Kamal, the leader of the discriminated employees’ union union, said that the demands of all the employees who were involved in the elections in 2014, 2018 and 2024 should be dismissed. They should be prosecuted and punished. Because they helped Hasina in farce elections. They are proven friends of Hasina.

Zakir Hossain also said that all the secretaries from the cabinet secretary have resigned from Hasina from July 1 to August 5 just before her escape. On the orders of these secretaries, members of law and order forces, including the police, have indiscriminately killed innocent common people including children.
