Drivers of CNG autorickshaws are protesting in front of the BRTA headquarters, demanding 10 points and a daily payment of Tk 500.

On Wednesday (August 28) around 11:30 am, the CNG-powered auto-rickshaw drivers staged a protest in front of the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) head office located in Mohakhali of the capital.

The program was organized under the banner of Dhaka District Four Stroke Autorickshaw (CNG) Drivers Union, a labor organization belonging to Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Federation. The drivers are chanting different slogans from the location programme.

CNG drivers said, currently, the owner of a CNG autorickshaw has to pay Tk 1,700 per day. Half rent 900 taka. The owners are trying to increase the deposit again, that has to be stopped. They demanded 10 points including daily fare of CNG autorickshaw of Tk 500.
