A tragic incident occurred in Juri, Moulvibazar, where a young child named Tahmida Jannat drowned after falling into a pond. The incident took place on Tuesday (December 31) around 9 AM near her home.

Tahmida was from Dakshin Sagornal village in Sagornal Union of the upazila. Her father, Mozir Uddin (Moinjan), is a businessman at the local Fultola market.

According to reports, Tahmida was playing in the yard of her house in the morning. At one point, she fell into a nearby pond. Family members rescued her from the pond and rushed her to the Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
