The Moulvibazar town branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir organized a protest march condemning the brutal genocide and barbaric attacks carried out by Israel in Palestine, violating the peace agreement.

On Friday (March 21), after the Jumma prayer, the protest march started from the Dewani Jame Mosque at Chowmuhana in the town. It then proceeded along M. Saifur Rahman Road and ended with a rally at Kusumbagh.

The rally was conducted by the town secretary, Kazi Daiyan Ahmed, and speeches were delivered by town president Tarek Aziz and former town president Murshed Ahmed Chowdhury. The speakers denounced Israel’s attacks in Palestine despite the peace agreement and urged the global Muslim community to take action in this crisis.

Town president Tarek Aziz said, “We want to make it clear to the world that the illegitimate state of Israel was created through the Balfour Declaration and the British Mandate. These mandates and declarations must be annulled. Palestine, which once had a population of five million and an independent territory of 28,000 square miles, has been reduced to only 6,000 square miles due to Israel’s illegal occupation. We urge the world to put an end to Israel’s unlawful occupation. The fundamental rights of the people there are being completely denied, and even sending relief has become extremely difficult.”

He further stated, “Today, men, children, the elderly, and women are not safe in Palestine. We call upon the United Nations and humanitarian organizations worldwide to immediately boycott Israel and recognize the just demands of the freedom-seeking people of Palestine. Otherwise, the global Muslim community will not remain silent, nor will the students and youth of this country. We strongly condemn and protest against Israel’s atrocities and call on everyone to stand with the people fighting for Palestine’s freedom.”
