On the occasion of the 46th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP, prayers for the souls of those killed in the recent floods and for the well-being of the injured, for the souls of the martyred leaders and activists in the student movement and for the souls of the martyred President Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP, and for the speedy recovery and long life of National Leader Begum Khaleda Zia and Milad and doa mahfil were held to wish the health and longevity of national hero Tariq Rahman.

On Sunday (September 1) at noon in the city's Paschim Bazar Jame Masjid.

Moulvibazar District BNP Senior Vice President Former Mayor Faizul Karim Mayun, Vice President and Former UP Chairman Moazzem Hossain Matuk, Vice President Ashiq Mosarraf, Acting General Secretary of District BNP Fakhrul Islam, Deputy General Secretary Abdur Rahim Ripon, General of Sadar Upazila BNP were present. Secretary Maruf Ahmed, Acting President of Paur BNP Syed Momsad Ahmed,General Secretary Sarwar Majumdar Ahmed Iman, Publicity Editor Rezaul Karim and others.

Faisal Ahmad Helali, Imam of North Jagannathpur Baitul Aman Jame Masjid led the prayers at the Milad Mahfil.

Leaders and workers of organizations including District BNP, Youth Dal, Swachhsevak Dal, Chhatra Dal, Shramik Dal, Krishak Dal, Tanti Dal were present in Milad and Doa Mahfil.
