On Wednesday, one day after the government published a notification giving the army magistracy powers for sixty days, the Awami League instructed its leaders and activists to contact the army to file complaints about any attacks on them.

This directive was issued by the party, which was overthrown in the midst of a nationwide uprising. The party also stated that it had heard from people all over the nation that Awami League leaders and activists were not even permitted to keep general diaries about the attacks and looting that had taken place at their residences.

The Awami League said all those affected should submit written complaints, including the names of the attackers, to the nearest army camp through their family members.
