In Hilalpur of Moulvibazar suburbs, the house of the opponent was attacked, vandalized and looted in connection with the murder in the second marriage arbitration meeting. On Sunday night, the supporters of Pir Azad vandalized and looted the houses of Samad Mia, Sufian Mia, Safan Mia, Sakir Mia and Chalik Mia in the suburban Hilalpur area.

It is to be noted that on September 26, an arbitration meeting was held on the marriage of Samad Mia with Afshana Begum Mimi, the wife of Rubel Mia, who was killed in an attack by her opponent about a year and a half ago, in Hilalpur village of the suburbs. Pir Azad's brother Parvez Ahmad was killed in the attack of Samad Mia Gong in that arbitration meeting. Pir Azad, mother Katai Bibi and nephew Ashad Mia were injured in the incident.

The injured returned home after treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Sunday afternoon. At night their supporters attacked and looted and vandalized several houses. No one was at home at that time.
