On the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Puja in Joychandi union of Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar, the Bangladesh Army, under the supervision of the Kulaura camp, supplied food to tea workers and families of the orthodox religion.
The food items were distributed to more than 300 families at the Jaichandi Union Parishad premises on Tuesday (October 8) afternoon.
Presided over by Jaichandi Union Chairman Abdur Rab Mahbub, the function was addressed, among others, by Bangladesh Army Senior Warrant Officer Syed Hasanuzzaman, Warrant Officer Mahbub Rahman and Sergeant Aminul Islam.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, vice chairman Shahjahan Omar, Shamsuzzaman Dudu, AZM Zahid, chairperson’s adviser Amanullah Aman, Abdus Salam, and party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi were among those in attendance. Reserved women members include Nehrun Begum, Seema Rani Chunar, and others.
The Jaichandi Union Chairman, Abdur Rab Mahbub, stated that the army’s food help was distributed to tea workers and orthodox families from the union’s nine wards.
