Maulana Husam Uddin Chowdhury Fultali, president of Bangladesh Anjumane Al Islah, has become an independent candidate for the Sylhet 5 (Jakiganj, Kanaighat) constituency in the 12th National Assembly elections.

On Thursday (December 30), the last day of nomination submission, Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Anjumane Al Islah Dr. Mawlana Moinul Islam Parvez and other central leaders submitted his nomination papers to the Returning Officer at the Sylhet DC office.

He spoke to reporters after submitting the nomination. Maulana Moinul Islam Parvez said that Sylhet-5 (Jakiganj, Kanaighat) is an area dominated by Alim-Ulama. Fultali family has a very good relationship with people of all castes, religions and professions there.

Everyone respects him and everyone along with his family plays an important role in the overall welfare of these areas. So we are 100% optimistic about winning from this seat.
