Campaign for Media Freedom (CMF) strongly condemns the killing of Al-Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh, a Qatar-based international media outlet, by Israeli forces during his professional career in Palestine.

President Amdadul Haque and secretary Tanvir Anjum Arif made the protest in a joint message on a pad signed by CMF office secretary Mubin Khan on Thursday, May 12th.

They said the barbaric killings of Palestinians by Israeli forces are not being covered independently by the media. On the same day last year, Israel destroyed the Al Jazeera and AP office buildings in the Jala Tower in Gaza, Palestine, and destroyed the multi-story building. And this year, by shooting and killing a Jazeera media worker directly, Israel has proved how violent they are! Every time such a naked attack by Israel on the media is a lightning signal for the whole world.

Strongly condemning and protesting Israel’s terrorist activities, the CMF President and Secretary-General said, “We call on the United Nations to immediately bring to justice those responsible for such acts and to stop such acts of violence against the media and Israeli terrorist attacks on Palestine.”
