Kulaura Correspondent :: Relief has been distributed among the flood-affected people by Abdul Latif Khan Foundation in Joychandi Union of Kulaura Upazila.
Ward Awami League president Abdul Malik was the chief guest at the relief distribution function in Ward Number 1 organized by the social organization New Star Club Gaurishankar on Friday afternoon.
In the presidency of Club President Shukur Alam and the presentation of General Secretary Imdadul Haque Imam the spacial guest are Former President of Mirshankar Shahi Jame Mosque Abdul Haque, President of Mirshankar Krira Chakra and President of Sabuj Sangha Badshahganj Bazar of Kulaura North Bazar Jayedur Rahman, Adviser of the Club Abul Kashem, Women Member of the Ward (1, 2, 3) Neharun Begum, Secretary of Mirshankar Hafizia Hossain Madras Zakir Hossen, President of Friend Society Club Saiful Islam, Maulana Khalilur Rahman and others.
Abdul Latif Khan Foundation Trustee Squadron Leader (Retd.) Sadrul Ahmed Khan said that Latif Khan Foundation wants to be by the side of the helpless in all situations like flood, drought, joy and pain.
He added that during the war of liberation in 1971, the late Thana Awami League president Abdul Latif Khan had taken refuge in Joychandi Union several times to avoid arrest at the hands of Pakistani forces. So the soul of my family has a relationship with this union.
