The Moulvibazar Town Chhatrashibir organized an Iftar Mahfil to honor guests and well-wishers during the holy month of Ramadan. The event took place at Sadi Mahal Community Center on Monday, March 24th, in the afternoon.
The Iftar Mahfil was attended by various levels of Chhatrashibir’s guests and well-wishers, political leaders, journalists, leaders of social and cultural organizations, people from various professions, and Chhatrashibir activists.
The event was presided over by Tareq Aziz, President of the Moulvibazar Town Chhatrashibir, and moderated by Kazi Daiyan Ahmad, Secretary of the Town. The chief guest at the Iftar Mahfil was Mo. Yamir Ali, Secretary of the District Jamaat.
Special guests included Monowar Ahmad Rahman, a member of the Moulvibazar District BNP Convening Committee; Hafez Tajul Islam, Ameer of Moulvibazar Municipal Jamaat and former city president; Mo. Fakhrul Islam, Ameer of Sadar Upazila and former city president; SM Umed Ali, senior journalist and NTV staff reporter; Advocate Nurul Islam Sheful, General Secretary of Moulvibazar Press Club; Dewan Ashiq Al Rashid, Secretary of Sadar Upazila Jamaat; Abdul Mumit, District Secretary of Sramik Kalyan Federation and former city president; Abu Noman Muin, Municipal President of Jubo Jamaat; Mo. Zillur Rahman, former city president of Chhatrashibir; and Hafez Alam Hossain, former district president of Chhatrashibir.
Additionally, leaders from the anti-discrimination student movement and various student organizations, businessmen, stakeholders from various levels of society, and officials from different levels of Chhatrashibir were present.
Mo. Yamir Ali, Secretary of the District Jamaat, stated that even after 54 years of independence, the country’s goals and objectives have not been fulfilled. He expressed hope that Chhatrashibir, which played a crucial role in suppressing fascism, will play a leading role in building a prosperous Bangladesh in the future and will provide the country and the nation with honest, skilled, and patriotic ideal citizens.
