The Juri 10 km Mini Marathon was held for the fourth time in Juri Upazila of Moulvibazar.

On Friday (February 28) at 7:30 AM, the marathon started from Bashirpur Zero Point in Juri Upazila, passed through Daser Bazar in Barlekha Upazila, and ended back at Bashirpur.

The race was previously held annually from 2021 to 2023. After a break in 2024, it resumed this year, with around 200 participants joining the competition.

Sajjadur Rahman secured first place, completing the race in 35 minutes. Yusuf Ali from Beanibazar came in second with a time of 37 minutes, while Md. Mahfuz Ahmed from Kulaura finished third in 40 minutes.

The marathon featured eight water points that provided hydration and food for the runners. Additionally, medical teams and volunteer groups offered support throughout the event.

The top three winners received cash prizes and medals. A total of 23 participants were awarded certificates. Special honors were given to 10-year-old Tahsin Ahmed and three participants over the age of 50.
