Abdul Mukit Talukder, Secretary of the Anti-Obscenity Committee (ANK), moderated the meeting. Hafiz Abdul Aziz Tarafdar, Hafiz Rumen Ahmed Chowdhury, Delwar Sayemi, Abul Ala Md. Moudud, Syed Ruhul Amin, Moktadir Hossain and Badrul Amin Chowdhury spoke. Moulvibazar Press Club President Sarwar Ahmed, General Secretary Nurul Inlam Sheful, journalist Roman Ahmed, and others spoke on behalf of the journalists.
On December 8, 2024, a group of young people from every upazila of Moulvibazar district held an exchange of views to stop all kinds of obscenity and anti-social activities in the society, nominating Mufti Tafazzul Islam Arabi as the president and Abdul Mukit Talukder as the secretary, and forming a 115-member Obscenity Suppression Committee – ADAC.
The 12 points of the Aadk are –
Point-1: All anti-social and un-Islamic activities, including singing and playing music in the name of Urus at various shrines, hiring dancers to sing songs using loud microphones, must be completely stopped.
Point-2: All kinds of obscenity and anti-social activities must be stopped in parks, resorts and tourist places located in the city and outside the city.
Point-3: Immoral activities must be stopped by conducting a quick raid in residential hotels and restaurants within the city.
Point-4: Obscene and immoral activities such as transgenderism, homosexuality, live-together, etc. must be banned by law.
Point-5: All kinds of obscene billboards, posters and obscene advertisements must be removed.
Point-6: Gambling by organizing fairs in the name of cultural programs on the occasion of various days. Consumption of alcohol and marijuana and obscene songs and dances must be stopped.
Point-7: Strict action should be taken against free mixing among school and college students, girlfriend-boyfriend subculture and all kinds of lewdness in the name of love.
Point-8: Necessary steps should be taken to stop obscene books, magazines, festoons, playing cards, etc.
Point-9: Content creation and dissemination of sexually provocative anti-social videos made in the name of entertainment and entertainment on movies, dramas and various social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, TikTok should be stopped.
Point-10: All kinds of obscene pornography sites should be permanently closed to protect the youth of the country from destruction.
Point-11: All necessary steps should be taken to instill religious values ​​and moral excellence in all types of educational institutions.
Point-12: The administration should stop giving permission to all obscene events including Jatragan in the name of cultural programs.
