Naib-e-Amir of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, said that the country has become independent again and again. The British exploited for two hundred years, the Muslims agitated against the British exploitation. At that time, the seeds of the British Kheda movement were sown by the Muslims. Muslims were the leaders of the movement. I was liberated from the British rule at one stage through their movement. I thought the disparity would go away, but it didn’t. The majority Hindus started discriminating, did not give rights to Muslims. And then there was freedom. But the freedom has not come yet.
Whoever was in power till August 5, 2024, was not a non-discriminatory government. They can’t do social justice. Those who were in power at the time took advantage, their fingers were swollen, they had no shortage of clothes, they had no shortage of houses, how many houses they had in America and Europe, they took treatment in Singapore and Thailand, and our people died without eating, without getting any benefit.
The chief guest said this while addressing a public rally at Moulvibazar Central Shaheed Minar premises on Thursday (October 3) afternoon.
He said the economic system in Bangladesh will make the rich richer and the poor poorer. He who has money goes to the bank and he who does not have money does not get money. The poor are dying. If this continues, no poor will be rich until the Day of Judgment. It is not possible to develop Bangladesh through this economy. To take Bangladesh forward, the Islamic economy has to be implemented. If the Islamic economy is implemented, every poor person in Bangladesh will go above the poverty line.
The chief guest said that Tk 14 lakh crore has been smuggled out of Bangladesh. If there was Islam, not even 1 lakh rupees could have been smuggled out of Bangladesh. If 14 lakh crore rupees were distributed among the poor, with this money, entrepreneurship was done, rickshaws were bought for rickshaw pullers, farmers were given employment, then there would not be a single poor in Bangladesh.
Faizul Karim said that for 15 years the government did not make laws for the people, all the laws were made for their benefit. There is no law for the security of the people, there is a law for the security of the government. All the forces were used for the security of the government. The government has changed in this country. But people don’t change. We want a law for the security of the people, a law for the emancipation of the people, a law for the food, clothing, education, medical treatment and housing of the people. Whatever happens will be for the people, not for any leader.
He also said that a driver of a minister in Bangladesh becomes the owner of two hundred crore taka. 98 thousand crore rupees were looted from Bangladesh Bank. Can you imagine this? After August 5, we thought the discrimination would be removed. But we have seen encroachment, extortion, theft, mastani have started again. If these continue, the independence of August 5 will fail. We have to be alert so that robbers, masons, thieves, corrupts, encroachers do not come to power. If they are not removed, the fate of the people will not change. For a change, let’s build a Bangla of Islam together, excluding all Bengalis.
