In Moulvibazar, anti-discrimination student movement held in memory of the martyrs and treason song and qawali evening against Indian aggression.
On Monday (September 9) at 7:30 p.m. in the Moulvibazar central Shaheed Minar premises, Azadi Manch was organized by Moulvibazar Cultural Society (Mousas) Jalprapat Shilpi Group and Azadi Manch artists.
Thousands of students and general public were enthralled by qawwali, country songs, rebellious poems of Kazi Nazrul Islam, single poems.
The audience who came to enjoy the program said that this is the first such program in Moulvibazar. Many events have been held in Shaheed Minar before this. Moulvibazar has come back to life through qawwali. This is the first time I came to Shaheed Minar to listen to Qawwali after the fall of the dictatorial government. Those who are young like me will be more motivated if such events are regular.
Organizers of the program said, this qawwali carries the history of thousands of years of Muslim poets. Bengali Muslim poets composed countless poems and songs. All these are the soul of our society, this Qawali evening at Azadi Manch is to awaken this soul.
