Today on August 14, wall writing was held in Rajnagar upazila like every district upazila of Bangladesh. We got a new Bangladesh in the wake of the 36-day bloodshed movement of students and people. Sheikh Hasina was forced to abdicate in the wake of this 36-day movement.

Abu Saeed’s chest burning, water distribution by Mir Mocha and various inconsistencies that happened in the anti-discrimination student movement have been highlighted through graffiti on every wall. Students of all schools and colleges of Rajnagar upazila also participated here.
Through the graffiti, the students are dreaming that this student movement of 2024 can be known and reached to the next generation.

All the big and small walls of Rajnagar are covered with graffiti today. All the images of the anti-discrimination student movement have been exposed. All the memories have been painted on the walls.

Apan, a student of Rajnagar Government College, said, “We want all the memories of the movement to be brought up through graffiti. To the next generation. So that they can become real patriots.” I am trying to keep everyone’s memory, including standing with Rangpur’s Abu Saeed Bhai, giving water to the agitating students.

Ordinary students said only one thing, “they did not see the victory of 1971, they saw the independent Bangladesh of 2024.”
